Do you find it easy to write emails in English, but panic when it comes to speaking? The thought of conversing in English makes you nervous, and you fear freezing up, forgetting words, or having the whole experience end in embarrassment.
You might wonder why others seem to speak so effortlessly. Despite using Duolingo daily, watching films in English, and even starting an online course, you still hesitate to use your English in real-life situations.
You’re not alone in feeling this way! There is a solution that’s stress-free, straightforward, and flexible.
Join the Dare to Speak Club!
I created this conversation club to help you confidently say „yes” to that next English-language training, international client meeting, or new job opportunity.
My goal is for 50 learners to become more confident and courageous in speaking English in the first year of the club.
How can you become more confident? To speak more boldly and actively use your knowledge, you need to practise speaking English regularly.
You’ll make the most progress when you do this consciously, focusing on areas that need improvement. The Dare to Speak Club offers you this opportunity.
In the club, you'll have the chance to:
- speak English regularly
- join conversations flexibly
- practice in a safe environment with teacher guidance
- develop alongside fellow learners
- discuss topics that matter to you
- try out various role-playing exercises
- prepare for real-life language challenges

How does a session work?
Each month, I prepare topics in advance, and you’ll receive materials to help you prepare.
You can also bring your own topics and even prepare a presentation. [Click here to view our September topics.]
Sessions include:
Directed conversations focusing on topic-related vocabulary
Informal discussions in smaller groups or pairs
Each month, we focus on a specific grammatical structure.
Additionally, we incorporate creative tasks, role-playing, situational exercises, current events, games (e.g., Story Cubes, Dixit, Taboo), and more.
No need to:
❌ pre-book a session
❌ prepare in advance
❌ do homework
❌ attend every session
However, if you attend regularly (at least 3–4 times a month), my method ensures that:
✅ you become more confident
✅ your active vocabulary expands
✅ your grammar improves

Why you can trust me
I’m Suzi (Zsuzsanna) Bartha-Becskei, your English language mentor.
Over the course of more than 25 years in teaching, I’ve worked with hundreds of language learners.
After graduating from university, I launched my own language school, where I taught group courses and ran a conversation club. I’ve always offered one-to-one courses as well, and in the past few years I’ve supported nearly 50 students in reaching their language goals.
During the five years I spent living in Vienna, I also taught groups of native German speakers.
Thanks to my students, I’ve had the chance to explore a wonderfully wide range of topics — from face yoga and solar panels to veterinary assistance.
I’m also a language learner myself: after English, German, French and Japanese, I’m now learning Italian.
This means I truly understand the challenges you’re facing — and I know how to overcome them.
Is DTS Club right for you?
If you’re already able to chat about basic topics, the club will definitely help you take your skills further.
Not sure about your level? Come along for a trial session.
Worried about fitting it into your schedule? Start with the one-month package and see how well it works for you.
Can’t make the current times? Fill in this form and I’ll let you know as soon as new slots open up.
Got a question? Just drop me a message – I’ll be happy to help.
Still have questions?
The club is suitable for intermediate learners who can engage in basic conversations on topics like family, work, and personal interests. If you’re unsure, you can start with a one-month membership.
Fill in the form below and I’ll let you know as soon as new session times open up.
Since sessions don’t require prior registration, there’s no fixed minimum or maximum number of participants. As membership increases, I’ll offer more session times, and I’ll structure conversations to ensure everyone has ample opportunity to practise.
Some topics are provided in advance, but conversations may evolve organically. You can suggest topics through a questionnaire or introduce new ones during sessions.
Sessions may be cancelled on public holidays or during my time off. In such cases, you’ll receive an alternative task to practise speaking, or I’ll schedule a make-up session. I’ll inform you of any changes at the beginning of each month.
Yes, you’ll receive prep materials by email on the previous day. These are usually videos or articles related to the topic.
You can join sessions via Zoom without downloading any software, though an installation guide will be included in your first email. Alternatively, you can join directly through your browser. Please ensure your camera is on during sessions to participate fully.
